Resort Reviews

Nozawa is a traditional little Japanese village so if your after a Japanese experience with some riding then you'll be very happy as the town people run the ski area and the place is full of friendly locals. The snow conditions are very good but perhaps not as consistent as the north Island. The ski area is quite large and has some great groomers and trees runs. It does suffer from a bit of a flat area between the upper and lowers slopes. There are numerous restaurants which are great but sometimes a bit hard to find and many need to be pre-booked. And of course if you like Onsens it has a great selection of free Onsens available and there is even foot Onsens in the main street to sooth the feet.
