With over 400 km of piste and an impressive vertical drop of 1,300 m there is plenty on offer for skiers and boarders at the picturesque resort of Megeve that dates back to the 13th century with cobbled streets and quaint historic buildings and architecture.
Megeve was the bran child of Baron de Rothchild in the 1920’s who wanted a French resort to rival the glitzy appeal of St Moritz. With 37% beginner 51% intermediate and 12% advanced terrain there is definitely something for everyone, however with over half the 93 lifts, surface lifts, you would need to be a committed snowboard to see all that Megeve has to offer.
