With 300 days a year of sunshine, Alpe d’Huez is a famous stop on the Tour de France and offers world class skiing, mountaineering, road and mountain biking. With four free beginner lifts there is plenty of beginner and intermediate terrain to get you going on and it also offers the Alps longest run of 16 km with a vertical drop of 2000 m.
The centre of the resort is based around Avenue des Jeux , with a swimming pool, sports centre and bars and restaurants. Plus there are two satellite areas, Les Bergers and L’Eclose which both have their own lift connections and shops and restaurants. if you have a lift pass, then you can access to the bus which connects the villages for free.
